SAVANNAH, Ga. – Savannah State University women's basketball team (5-13, 3-3 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) looks to continue its three-game winning streak as the Lady Tigers face Delaware State (2-15, 1-4 MEAC) Monday at 4 p.m. in Tiger Arena.
 
The last time out, the Lady Tigers defeated Morgan State 66-62 in overtime in Tiger Arena Monday.  Senior guard Rhianna Warren tied the game at 57 with a three-pointer with two seconds remaining in the fourth quarter.  Graduate student guard Lauren "Gaby" Moss led SSU with a career-high 24 points on 8-for-14 shooting from the floor, while senior guard Kenyata Hendrix added 18 points and a career-high seven assists.
 
Hendrix leads the team with 11.7 points per game, while graduate student guard Lauren "Gaby" Moss is averaging 11.0 points per game.  Davis leads the team with 8.1 rebounds per game and with 3.5 blocks per game, and averages 6.1 points per game, while Edwards is averaging 6.5 rebounds per game and 4.9 points per game.
 
Davis ranks sixth in the MEAC in rebounds per game (8.1) and is second in blocks per game (3.5), which ranks fifth in the NCAA and ninth in the country with 60 blocks.  In her career, the Athens, Ga., native holds the school record in the Division I era with 250 career blocks and with 844 career rebounds.  She also ranks eighth with 781 career points and sixth with 338 career made field goals.  Davis' 60 blocks this season ranks six in school history in a single season, three behind fourth place. 
 
Hendrix, who was named the College Sports Madness MEAC Player of the Week Monday, holds the school record in the Division I era with 172 career made 3-pointers and is the third Lady Tiger to record 1,000-plus points with 1,094, which ranks second in school history, and ranks third with 382 made field goals, 10 made field goals to place second. 
 
Delaware State snapped a 13-game losing streak by beating South Carolina State University by two points, 72-70, the last time out in Orangeburg, S.C.  NaJai Pollard leads the Hornets with 18.9 points per game and with 9.9 rebounds per game, while Mikah Aldridge averages 13.7 points per game and Aaliyah Davis averages 7.1 points per game and 4.4 rebounds per game.
 
The Lady Tigers travel to Washington, D.C., to face Howard University (7-9, 3-1 MEAC) Saturday at 2 p.m.
