PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla.- Savannah State golfer Rachele Orme finished second at the women's individual division of the 30th PGA Minority Golf Championships which took place at the Ryder Course at the PGA Golf Club.
Orme was tied for second after the first round of action but slipped to third after the second round. On the final day of play, Orme shot 79 to finish one shot ahead of Cathleen Wong of Florida Gulf Coast.
Orme finished the tournament with a three day score of 241 (80-82-79) while Wong shot 242.
Tiana Jones of Maryland Eastern Shore shot a 73 in the final round and won the women's individual title with a score of 223.
