THE GAME:
Savannah State tied the best women's basketball program Division I record (15-11) with a 60-53 win over N.C. Central this past Monday in Tiger Arena.

They enter Saturday's match with South Carolina State in 4th place in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) standings with an 8-4 conference record.

This is the 21st matchup between the schools. The Lady Bulldogs have a 15-6 advantage in the SSU record books. SSU and S.C. State last met in the first round of the 2013 MEAC Championship. The Lady Tigers fell 35-50.

The Lady Tigers are winless against the Lady Bulldogs in Orangeburg, but have posted a record-high 5-7 mark on the road in the current season.

SSU has multiple scoring threats this season, included senior's Ezinne Kalu (16.0 avg), and Jasmine Kirkland (10.0 avg), junior Jasmine Norman (9.0 avg), and freshman Tiyonda Davis (6.6 avg.) Davis leads the team in rebounds with 186 (6.6 avg).
