Terel Hall led four Savannah State players in double figures as the Tigers remained unbeaten at Tiger Arena, following a 75-62 win over a pesky Middle Georgia State squad.

The victory improves SSU's home record to 3-0. It also halted a three game losing skid where the Tigers suffered road losses to Louisville, Jacksonville State and Winthrop.

Hall finished the contest with 15 points to accompany his five steals, four rebounds and three assists.

Savannah State built a six-point lead early in the contest but the Knights battled back and tied the game at 24 with 5:07 remaining in the half.

SSU finished the period with a 19-5 run and went into intermission ahead 43-29.

Just before Savannah State's big run,
Tyler Hagan went down with a leg injury that delayed the game about 20 minutes. It was Hagan's first game of the season. The 6-5 freshman is also a tight end on the Tigers football team.

After five minutes of play in the second half, SSU had built a 16-point advantage and with 10:13 left the Tigers had their largest lead of the night at 59-42, after a layup by Hall.

Middle Georgia (2-5) could never get any closer than 11 the rest of the way.

SSU shot 48.5 percent from the floor in the first half and ended the game shooting 44.4 percent.

The Tigers out-rebounded the visitors 46 to 35 and forced 26 turnovers.

Saadiq Muhammad had 13 points, five rebounds and two blocks for SSU.
Jamal Norman and Alante Feener each contributed 10 points and four rebounds off the bench.

Jarvaris Jenkins added eight points and five rebounds while
Treyvon Francis added nine rebounds and seven points.

Middle Georgia was led by Ryan Wilkins. The Savannah native ,who played at Effingham County High School, had 14 points.

The Knights shot 37.3 percent from the field.

Savannah State (3-5) will live the remainder of the Christmas holidays out of a suitcase, playing games at Indiana (Dec. 6), Miami, Fla. (Dec. 8), Kansas State (Dec. 14), Tulane (Dec. 16) and Louisiana State (January 3) before returning home to play Allen on Jan. 6.
