THE GAME:
Savannah State opens a three-game road stretch with a visit to Daytona, Florida to face long-time rival Bethune-Cookman, in the team's second match up of the season.

This will be the 22nd meeting of the teams in SSU's recorded history (1982-83). Bethune-Cookman as a 15-6 overall advantage in the series. In SSU's Division I history (since 2001-02), SSU is 5-10 vs. the Lady Wildcats. In the last match up, on January 18, SSU edged by Cookman 58-54 in Tiger Arena.

The 12-9 Lady Tigers are off to a spectacular start. They set a record in Tiger Arena for the longest consecutive home win streak in the Division I era (7 games), and now have more single-season Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) wins than their first two seasons in the conference.

SSU is led by Ezinne Kalu, who is averaging 16.6 points per game. Jasmine Kirkland and Jasmine Norman are each averaging over 8 points per outing. Tiyonda Davis leads the team in rebounds with 7.8 per game.

The team is shooting 39.6 percent from the field and have scored over 70 points in nine games this season.
