THE GAME:
Savannah State enters the final game of a four-game home stretch before hitting the road next weekend, off a tough 46-70 loss to Hampton on Saturday.

Close to midway through the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) schedule, the Lady Tigers are sitting in fifth place overall with a 4-2 conference mark.

SSU opened the season with a 7-0 home record. The exceptional start for the Lady Tigers is the program's longest home win streak, and best start in Tiger Arena for the Division I era (Since 2002-03 season).

This will be the 8th meeting of Norfolk State and SSU. The Lady Spartans lead the series 5-2. SSU beat Norfolk State 62-55 on December 1, 2012 in the team's last meeting.

The Lady Tigers are averaging 64.6 points per game, and are shooting at a 39.4 percent clip from the floor as a team. SSU's best NCAA Division I season record, 15-11, was set in the 2010-11 season.

Head Coach Cedric Baker broke 100 NCAA Division I wins earlier this season and is only three wins from being the winningest coach in SSU women's basketball recorded history (since 1982). In Philip Wallace's five year tenure (1990-95) at SSU, he went 105-38.
