Game Central Volleyball: Radford University Volleyball Tournament

RADFORD, Va. – After three tough tournaments, the Savannah State volleyball squad heads into their fourth and final tournament this weekend, before their first home game next week. They are still looking for the season's first win. SSU is scheduled to play host Radford University and Tulane University in the two-day tournament.

The Lady Tigers are led by senior Bryana Gadis who is averaging 1.41 kills per set and leads the team with 52 kills. On defense, freshman Alexis Washington leads the team with 87 digs, averaging 2.56 per game. Sophomore Christian Lyle leads the team in blocks with 18.0.
 
This is the 28th season of volleyball at Savannah State. Interim head coach Jolanta Graham enters her first full year at the helm. Graham took over midway through the 2012 season. The Lady Tigers are a 10 person squad this year with six returners and four newcomers.

INJURY REPORT:
Washington and Gabrielle Nathaniel will miss the tournament due to injuries. Washington is scheduled to return for the Lady Tigers late next week while Nathaniel is not scheduled to return till October.
