TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Savannah State women's golf team finished fourth in the Florida A&M Invitational on Sunday in Tallahassee, Florida.
The two-day tournament was shortened to a one-day 18-hole affair on Sunday, due to inclement weather. The Lady Tigers shot a team score of 377.
Jocelyn Williams led the Lady Tigers with a 91.
Candace Lewis followed Williams with a 92.
Courtney Newton shot a 96, while
Michelle Gifford carded a 98.
Bianca Anderson rounded out SSU with a 100.
Alabama State won the overall women's division with a team score of 315. The University of Laval, out of Quebec, Canada, finished second with a 331. Hampton University placed third with a 343.
The Lady Tigers continue the 2013 campaign with a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) tournament in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on April 12.
