FULL RESULTS
DATAW ISLAND, S.C. – The Savannah State women's golf team captured top honors in the Taylor-Made Adidas Intercollegiate Golf Invitational in Dataw Island, South Carolina on Tuesday.
The Lady Tigers shot a two-day team score of 762 (386-376) for first place honors. Leading the Lady Tigers was sophomore
Jocelyn Williams who finished in third with a two-day score of 181 (92-89).
Junior
Michelle Gifford finished in fourth, posting a score of 183 (89-94).
Candace Lewis placed 13
th with a score of 197 (103-94), while
Courtney Newton recorded a 201 (102-99).
Bianca Anderson rounded out SSU with a 242.
Ohio Wesleyan University led the tournament after the first day, shooting a 377 in round one. They finished second overall with a 766, shooting a 389 in round two.
Nazareth College finished in third with a 780, followed by Faulkner University with a 786. Faulkner's Emma Sears won the individual medalist with a two-day score of 174 (87-87).
The Lady Tigers return to action at the Florida A&M Spring Invitational March 22-24 in Tallahassee, Florida.
