THE GAME:
Savannah State enters this Thursday's nonconference match up with Charleston Southern off a huge 79-55 victory over Longwood this past Sunday.

The Lady Tigers, absent of point guard Ezinne Kalu, were led by senior guard Jasmine Kirkland who scored a career-high 20 points. Freshman Tiyonda Davis recorded her first double-double in the win with 14 points and 12 rebounds. The win broke a 4-game losing skid for SSU.

Today's game is the second meeting of the teams this year. SSU beat the Lady Bucs' 75-47 in Tiger Arena on November 16.

SSU is winding down a season-high 10-game road stretch this week with their eighth road game.

This is the 12th meeting of the teams since SSU elevated to Division I in 2001-02. CSU has the advantage in the overall series, 9-3. SSU head coach Cedric Baker has the program's only three wins against the Lady Bucs'.

Kalu leads the Lady Tigers with 119 points, and a 14.9 average. Jasmine Norman and Kenyata Hendrix are both averaging 8 points per game.
