THE GAME:
Savannah State plays the seventh game of a season-long 10-game road stretch. The Lady Tigers are looking to break a four-game losing skid after dropping an 89-79 decision to Liberty University in their last outing.

The Lady Tigers put up 52 points in the first half against Liberty, but underestimated the Lady Flames in the second half as Liberty outscored SSU 54-27 for the win. Ezinne Kalu scored a season-high 28 points in the game and three other Lady Tigers put up double-digits in the loss.

SSU last met Longwood on February 2, 2012, they beat the Lancers 53-41. This will be the 15th time the teams have met since their first match in the 2004-05 season.

This is also the earliest in the schedule SSU has played Longwood. Traditionally, the nonconference game is scheduled late in the season.

Overall SSU and head coach Cedric Baker are 6-8 against Longwood. SSU and Baker have only beat Longwood in Farmville, Virginia once (2009). They have only two losses to the Lancers in Tiger Arena.
