The Game
Savannah State
Savannah State (1-10 overall, 0-7 MEAC) will play in their final game of the season and are looking for their second overall win and first conference win of the year. In today's matchup, the Tigers will take on the Aggies of N.C. A&T. This will be the first meeting between the two school's. SSU is coming off a 14-42 loss to Howard University last weekend in Washington, D.C.
The Tigers will be without starting quarterback Antonio Bostick who also sat out of last week's game. The senior quarterback was suspended for the final two games for violating team rules. SSU's starter last week was redshirt sophomore Leon Prunty who, in his second start of the year, had eight completions for 152 yards and one touchdown. He was also the team's second leading rusher with 11 carries for 36 yards. Backup QB Victorian Hardsion, saw action in the game finishing with two completions for 24 yards.
Defensively, linebackers Marquis Smith and Justin Dixon have had outstanding seasons for the Tigers. Both currently lead the team with 113 tackles. Defensive back John Wilson will be one of 12 seniors playing in their last game. Wilson leads the team with four interceptions.

N.C. A&T State University
The Aggies are led by running back Tarik Cohen, a 5-foot-8, 170-pound freshman from Bunn, N.C., who has 925 yards and six touchdowns on 154 carries. He earned MEAC Rookie of the Week honors this week for his 185-yard performance on 31 carries against Morgan State. Cohen, who leads the MEAC in rushing with 102.4 yards per game, needs 75 yards to become the first freshman in North Carolina A&T's history to run for 1,000 yards.
North Carolina A&T quarterback Lewis Kindle, a 6-foot-1, 205-pound redshirt senior from Atlanta, is 106-of-191 passing (55.5 percent) for 1,292 yards and eight touchdowns. He has been intercepted six times.
Wide receiver Desmond Lawrence, a 5-foot-10, 181-pound junior from Durham, N.C., has made 34 catches for 376 yards and three touchdowns.

Passing Attack
The Tigers enter today's game second in the MEAC in passing offense with 2,215 yards. The offense is also second in the conference with 14 passing TDs.

SSU cheerleader coach Kelly Fletcher is a former Aggie cheerleader and a A&T graduate. A&T softball coach Kenya Peters spent two seasons as an assistant softball coach at SSU.

Today is a homecoming game for SSU linebacker Patrick Stevenson who is from Fayetteville, NC which is about 90 miles away

Linebackers Justin Dixon and Marquis Smith both have over 100 tackles for the season. Dixon and Smith lead the team with 113 tackles apiece. It's the first time SSU has had two players with at least 100 tackles in the same season.
