SAVANNAH, Ga.- Savannah State head football coach Thomas Howard has announced his inaugural spring football schedule.

The Tigers will hold 15 total practices that will be capped with the annual Orange and Blue Spring Football Game for the 15th practice. The Spring Game will kickoff at 3:00pm inside Theodore A. "Ted" Wright Stadium.

Savannah State will have seven practices in March and eight in  the month of April.

SSU will practice on March 11-13 before classes end for Spring Break. Practices will resume on March 21, 26, 27 and 30.

The April schedule includes practices on April 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9 and 10 before playing the Orange  and Blue Game on Sunday,  April 12 at 3 p.m. in Theodore A. Wright Stadium.

Savannah State will kick off the 2026  season on August 29 with a trip to Orangeburg, South Carolina to face FCS opponent South Carolina State.

After an OPEN week on September 5, the Tigers will play their home and Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opener on Sept. 12 against Albany State at T. A. Wright Stadium at 6 p.m.
