SAVANNAH, Ga.- Junior shortstop
Dexter Kelley has been named to the Brooks Wallace Award Watch List.
The Wallace Award recognizes the nation's top shortstop and will be presented on July 2 in Lubbock, Texas.
A total of 54 players, representing 25 conferences and one independent were among those named to the initial Wallace Watch List.
The Atlanta, Georgia native has started all 18 games for the Tigers this season and has a .373 batting average. Kelley leads SSU in RBI (28), is second in hits (25), tied for second in doubles (4) and is third in runs (17). In the field, Kelly has a .980 fielding percentage with only one error.
