SAVANNAH, Ga.- Savannah State lost their sixth straight game after falling to South Carolina State 60-49 in Tiger Arena. 
South Carolina State held SSU (8-10) without a field goal in the second period until the 11:19 mark when 
Ashlee Barley made a layup. 
SCSU led 25-23 at intermission but started the second half with a 20-1 run to grab a 45-24 advantage with 13:20 remaining. 
Down by 21, Savannah State put together a 13-3 run to close their gap to 49-38 with 6:55 on the clock. 
South Carolina State led 55-40 with 4:45 left but SSU answered with a 8-1 spurt to pull within eight at the 2:42 mark. 
The Lady Tigers would get no closer as SCSU closed the game with four free throws to get the win and improved to 5-7. 
South Carolina State's last field goal of the game came at the 4:45 mark. 
Crissa Jackson led SSU with 12 points and six assists. 
SSU led 12-8 with 12:22 left in the first half but the Bulldogs put together a 15-5 rally to go ahead 23-17 with 4:13 on the clock. 
Savannah State answered with back-to-back 3-pointers by Jackson to tie the game at 23 with 2:23 left. 
Whitney Wiley made two free throws for SCSU with five seconds left to give the visitors a two-point halftime edge. 
Wiley led SCSU with 17 points. 
The Bulldogs shot 50 percent from the floor and out-rebounded SSU 33 to 28.
