Biography

2015: Played in 35 games with 32 starts and recorded a .2203 (14-for-69) batting average with 12 runs scored, five doubles, two home runs and 12 RBIs … recorded a .362 slugging percentage and a .349 on-base percentage with 15 walks … finished the season batting .500 (5-for-10) in the final four games with three runs scored and two RBIs … recorded a .143 (3-for-21) batting average in conference play with five runs scored, two doubles and two RBIs … recorded a slugging percentage of .238 and an on-base percentage of .333 in conference play.

2014: In her sophomore season, Smith transitioned to the infield starting in all 46 games for the Lady Tigers at shortstop. She concluded the season with a .241 batting average with 23 runs on 38 hits, two doubles and 12 RBI. Smith led the team in at bats with 158, and along with the Hallman sisters led in games started. In the field, she recorded 65 putouts, 57 assists with an .897 fielding percentage.

2013: Smith sealed up a starting role for the Lady Tigers in her freshman season. Playing in the outfield, she started in 46 games and ended with a .320 batting average. She had 39 hits, including four doubles and 15 RBI. Smith fielded at a .937 percent with 57 putouts. She was second on the team in stolen bases with seven.
