ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla.– The Savannah State University women's golf team concluded its fall schedule with a 13th-place finish at the 2026 Flagler College Fall Slam after Tuesday's final round was canceled due to course conditions following inclement weather at Marsh Creek Country Club.
The cancellation shortened the originally scheduled 54-hole tournament to 36 holes, making Monday's opening two rounds the official final results.
Savannah State finished with a two-round total of 691 (+115), recording rounds of 346 and 345 on the par-72, 6,062-yard layout. The Lady Tigers improved by one stroke during the afternoon round and finished two shots ahead of fellow Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) member Edward Waters.
Zell Wilson led the way for Savannah State, finishing tied for 55th overall in the 81-player field with a 19-over-par 163. Wilson opened with an 83 before shaving three strokes off her score in the second round, carding an eight-over-par 80 to pace the Lady Tigers.
Jenna Wilson followed with a two-round total of 165 (+21), finishing tied for 63rd after rounds of 81 and 84. Her opening-round 81 was the lowest first-round score recorded by a Savannah State golfer.
Morgan Wilkerson showed significant improvement between rounds, trimming seven strokes off her opening-round score. After carding a 94 in the morning, Wilkerson responded with an 87 in the afternoon to finish 78th overall at 181 (+37).
Ziporah Ward finished 79th with a two-round total of 182 (+38), posting scores of 88 and 94, while
Corynn Rodney rounded out the Savannah State lineup in 80th place at 196 (+52), following rounds of 95 and 101.
Tournament host and nationally sixth-ranked Flagler College captured the team championship with a 15-over-par 591, narrowly edging Rollins College by three strokes. The Saints posted rounds of 295 and 296 to secure their second consecutive tournament victory after claiming the Newberry Fall Invitational title earlier this month.
Rollins finished second at 594 (+18), followed by SCAD in third at 600 (+24), Keiser in fourth at 602 (+26), and Lynn in fifth at 612 (+36).
Flagler junior Kalia Polete claimed individual medalist honors with a one-under-par 143. Polete followed an opening-round 73 with a two-under-par 70 to finish two strokes ahead of Lynn University's Amelia Ruiz Topali, who placed second at 145 (+1).
Four golfers shared third place at 146 (+2), including Flagler's Darci Wagner and Vanessa Perry, Rollins' Alisha Rametra, and SCAD's Jiahui Shan. Wagner highlighted her performance with a hole-in-one during Monday's competition.
The Flagler Fall Slam marked the conclusion of Savannah State's fall competition schedule.
