ATLANTA, Ga.- The Savannah State men's basketball team fell to Morehouse 64-62 on Saturday afternoon inside of Forbes Arena.

The setback snaps a three game winning streak and drops the Tigers to 5-6 overall and 5-4 in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play.

The game, which had eight ties and four lead changes, saw Morehouse began to make its run during the final three minutes of play.

With 4:35 remaining in the second half and the score knotted at 54, a jumper and a layup by Michael Swift gave SSU a 58-54 lead. But the Maroon Tigers answered by scoring the next nine points to go ahead 63-58 with 1:05left in the contest.

Savannah State responded with a pair of free throws from Jordan Mikel with 47 seconds left and a layup from Zyere Edwards with 15 seconds showing on the clock to pull the Tigers within 63-62.
