Savannah, GA-The upcoming week in Savannah State Athletics is jammed packed with action for men's & women's golf, men's & women's cross country, women's volleyball, and a key early season SIAC clash for the football team. Men's & Women's Golf
The fall season continues for the Savannah State men's & women's golf teams as head coach Christopher Miller takes the squads to the Atlanta area where they will take part in the Black College Golf Coaches Association Hall of Fame Invitational. The three-day event begins on Sunday, September 21st at Stone Mountain Golf Club.

Women's Volleyball
The winning streak for the Lady Tiger volleyball squad grew to three this past week. The team puts the streak on the line this week as they will play five matches. Savannah State will wrap up the non-conference portion of their schedule on Tuesday evening in Mount Vernon as they will play at Brewton-Parker Christian. The Lady Tigers will then head to Albany for the SIAC women's volleyball crossover, hosted by Albany State. SSU will open the crossover on Thursday with defending conference champion Spring Hill at 10am, then will battle Tuskegee at 3:00pm. The event concludes with two matches on Friday, starting with Miles at 9am, then Kentucky State at 2:00pm

Men's & Women's Cross Country
Speaking of Mount Vernon and Brewton-Parker Christian, the Savannah State cross country teams will head that way on Friday for the Brewton-Parker Christian Cross Country Invitational. The men's 8k event will begin at 5:00pm, while the women's 5k event will begin at 6:45 pm at the Brewton-Parker Cross Country Course

Football
In their last action, the Tiger football squad played their most complete and dominant contest of the season. All three phases of the team significantly contributed in SSU's 45-19 SIAC road win at Miles last Saturday afternoon in Alabama. The Tigers look to continue their roll as they will come home on Saturday evening for a key early season SIAC contest against a much improved Kentucky State squad. Kickoff is set for 6:00pm at Theodore A. "Ted" Wright Stadium. The game has been designated as our Military Appreciation/Cancer Awareness Game. All retired military members w/ valid ID will receive free admission to the game, while current military tickets will be $10. The matchup will also be shown live on ESPN+ with Todd Corder and J. J. Jurjevich providing the play-by-play action. .
