ATLANTA, Ga.- Members of the Savannah State men's and women's track & field programs traveled to Atlanta on Wednesday to compete in the Emory Qualifier.
Macada McDonald represented the SSU women. The freshman from Lithonia, Georgia finished second in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.26 and was fourth in the 400m hurdles after being clocked at 1:03.01.
For the Savannah State men,
Nyzaveon Thompson was fifth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 55.09.
Meontavious McLeod was seventh in the 100m race after being timed at 10.52 although he posted a time of 10.50 in the preliminary round.
Tyler Phillips had a personal best time of 10.74 in the 100m race to finish 14th while
Yastremski Johnson was 21st after being clocked at 10.94.
In the 800m race,
Jadon Rountree crossed the finish line at 1:54.17 to finish 11th.
