Atlanta, Georgia-After a successful weekend for the Savannah State baseball squad, which saw them take two out of three games against Miles on the road, the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference office announced the selection of sophomore pitcher
Brayden Thomas with its Pitcher of the Week award.
The 6'2 native of Lake City, Florida fired his best performance of the season in Savannah State's 4-0 win over Miles to start the series on Saturday. Thomas had a complete game shutout and recorded a season high seven strikeouts in the victory.
So far this season, the Tigers ace has a 3-2 overall record in nine appearances, has a 3.71 earned run average in 53.1 innings pitched, and has a team high 41 strikeouts.
