Louisville, Kentucky-The Savannah State men's indoor track & field team had a solid showing at the inaugural Cricket SIAC Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.

The Tigers claimed two individual championships, while as a team, placed fourth earning 88.5 team points. SSU finished ahead of Central State, Allen, Kentucky State, and LeMoyne-Owen in fifth, sixth, and seventh places respectively. The Men of Morehouse took home the team title with 186.7 points, finishing ahead of second place Benedict, and third place Tuskegee.

The defending SIAC outdoor heptathlon champion , Dominique Bailey continued his dominance inside, earning the indoor title, while Nyzaveon Thompson took the title in the men's 60m hurdles (8.20s). Jadon Rountree placed third in the men's 800m (1:57.46).

In field events, Donovan Holdip placed third in the men's weight throw (13.03m), Raymond Mckoy placed third in the men's high jump (1.95m) and Tony Rountree took thid in the men's shot put (14.52m).

Savannah State will host the first meet of the outdoor season, next Saturday afternoon, March 1st in the Savannah State Eyeopener at T. A. Wright Stadium.
