Savannah, Georgia-It is Homecoming Week on "The Marsh" and our fall sports programs have another jammed packed week of action, capped off with the big Homecoming football contest on Saturday afternoon. We'll give you all the info in our latest installment of "This Week In Tiger Athletics".

Women's Volleyball
The Savannah State women's volleyball squad has been in cruise control over the past few weeks. The Lady Tigers have won their last six consecutive matches and nine of their last ten games. Savannah State will put their streak on the line in two matches this week, starting on Tuesday with a road contest against defending SIAC East Division Champion Albany State at 6:00pm. Then, the Lady Tigers will return home on Thursday, October 23rd where they will host Fort Valley State. First serve is set for 6:00pm and the match will take place inside Willcox-Wiley Gymnasium on campus.

Men's & Women's Cross Country
The 2025 season for the Savannah State Men's & Women's Cross Country squads will come to an end this Friday, October 24th, as they will take part in the 2025 SIAC Cross Country Championships presented by Toyota. The action will take place at the Georgia Premier Cross Country Course on the campus of Middle Georgia State University in Macon. The Women's race will start things of at 9am, while the men's action will start one hour later at 10am.

Football
The SSU football squad returns home for the first time in nearly a month, where they will battle a Morehouse squad that has found fire as of late, winning their last three consecutive contests. The homecoming matchup between the Tigers and Maroon Tigers will take place on Saturday, October 25th at 3pm inside Theodore A. Wright Stadium. The contest will be aired live on the Savannah State Sports Network with Terry Hines and Curtis Foster providing the play-by-play.
