SAVANNAH, Ga.– Following a full 19 minutes of domination on the hardwood, Savannah State fell to Morehouse in the final second of a key Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) game on Monday.

The 2023 Tigers were one second from making history.

SSU has been dominate in Tiger Arena this year. They entered Saturday's game 11-0 on home court. In the final home game, a win would have made them the first team in modern school history to be undefeated at home.

Savannah State dropped to 15-7 overall and 13-5 in the SIAC schedule. With the loss, SSU surrendered first place in the SIAC East Division to Benedict.

At the 15:56 mark of the second half, Eleik Bowles sank a three-pointer to give the Tigers a 20-point lead. The double-digit advantage held until the 2:25 mark. Morehouse opened a 10-2 run to cut Savannah State's lead to two points with 33 seconds to play.
