Miracle Goolsby Named To PBC Presidential Honor Roll

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Savannah State women's golfer Miracle Goolsby has been named to the 2021-22 Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Presidential Honor Roll, the conference announced last week.

Goolsby was named to the Bronze Scholars list which honors student-athletes who earn a GPA from 3.25 to 3.49. Goolsby, a sophomore biology major, finished the 2021-2022 season with a GPA of 3.47.

The PBC's 2021-22 Presidential Honor Roll, presented by Barnes & Noble College, recognizes the outstanding academic achievements of PBC student-athletes who compete in the league's 16 championship sports, according to a press release from the conference.

The honor roll is divided into four groups: Presidential Scholars (3.0-3.24), Bronze Scholars (3.25-3.49), Silver Scholars (3.50-3.74) and Gold Scholars (3.75-4.00). Over 1,500 PBC student-athletes were recognized on this year's list, giving the PBC 1,000 or more for the 12th year in a row.

Savannah State women's golf joined the PBC in the summer of 2021 as an associate member—the first conference membership for the program since its 2000 inception—and competed for a conference championship for the first time in program history earlier this year.
