ATLANTA, Ga. – Four Savannah State football players have been named to the 2022 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Football All-Conference preseason team while Savannah State was voted to finish third in the SIAC East Division.

The conference announced the preseason rankings and all-conference teams Tuesday morning at the 2022 SIAC Media Day at the College Hall of Fame in Atlanta, Ga. The poll and all-conference teams are voted on by conference head coaches and sports information directors.

Savannah State was voted to finish behind Benedict College in the preseason rankings. Reigning SIAC Champions Albany State were voted to win the division. Morehouse was voted to finish fourth, followed by Fort Valley State, Edward Waters, Clark Atlanta and Allen University.

Miles College was voted to a repeat win of the SIAC West Division, followed by Lane, Tuskegee, Kentucky State and Central State.
