SAVANNAH, Ga.— Savannah State men's basketball closes out the regular season today against the hot-handed Morehouse College.

The Tigers held off Fort Valley State on Thursday for a 62-57 victory.They are on a two-game winning streak after beating Albany State last Monday 64-63.

The wins sealed up the No. 3 seed heading into the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Championship Tournament next week. They trail Morehouse and Benedict in the divisional standings.

Savannah State has had a lot of close games this season, including three that were forced into overtime. A win for the Tigers today will put them at .500 for the regular season and give them a winning SIAC record into the tournament.

Following a rough start to the season, Morehouse has made an incredible comeback. In their final home game, they beat Albany State 80-69 to cap a 16-game winning streak. The last time they lost a game was on Dec. 11 at Tuskegee.

Today's game is open to the general public, but seating in the lower bowl will be restricted. The following guidelines will be in place:

Guests are strongly encouraged to wear a mask or face covering and continue to maintain social distance
Fans, media, and students may not have any physical contact with student-athletes or staff at any time during, before or after the contest
The clear bag procedure will be in effect for access to Tiger Arena
Tiger Arena will be locked down 1.5 hours prior to tip-off
Doors will open one hour prior to tip-off
General admission and Will Call are located at the West Entrance to Tiger Arena
Students may enter the arena through the East Entrance ONLY (Doors facing the Student Union) with valid I.D.
