Tigers Shoot The Lights Out Against Allen

SAVANNAH, Ga. – Savannah State men's basketball opened their Saturday game against Allen with a 10-4 run and never looked back on the way to a 93-55 rout of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) provisional team.
 
The Tigers shot 61 percent from the floor to open the game and 56 percent from the three-point line helping to put a 14-point margin between them and the visitors midway through.

Savannah State dropped 17-of-32 field goal attempts in the second half and 6-of-12 long balls to keep that margin throughout.
 
Savannah State finished with a 57 percent clip from the floor, a 53 percent rate from deep and 70 percent from the charity strip, hitting 14-of-20 free throws on the night.
 
Marcus Scott led the effort Savannah State with 17 points. Za'Khari Cobb put away 14 while Trey DeLoach scored 13. Avery Joyner added 10 points.
