In the third set, the Lady Tigers got off to a rough start, recording two errors. They quickly bounced back and soon pushed out to a 10-6 lead behind two service access from Langston and a Benedict error, forcing the home team into a timeout.

Benedict responded, tying the game up at 14-all several serves later. Nettles tacked on two more service aces to push the Lady Tigers out to a 17-14 lead and force the home team into another timeout, shifting the momentum.

Samuel served up three consecutive points to push Savannah State out to a 22-17 lead down the final stretch. Destiny Gaines recorded a kill for a 24-19 lead. With the match point on the line, Benedict recorded back-to-back kills and then a costly error. Savannah State took set three 25-21 and the match 3-0.

Norton led the offensive effort with 12 kills. She also recorded three block solos and one block assist on defense. Nettles had 10 kills and 11 digs and three service aces on the night. Langston tacked on nine kills and three service aces in the win.
