SAVANNAH, Ga.—Savannah State men's basketball return to Tiger Arena following a big win over Allen University on Monday.
 
Tonight's Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) game against Clark Atlanta is a makeup after the Jan. 7 game was postponed due to COVID-19 protocols.
 
The Tigers and Panthers will be fighting from the middle of the pack tonight to move up in the SIAC East Division standings.
 
Savannah State sits in fourth place with a 4-4 conference record. Clark is just behind them in fifth place with a 3-4 SIAC record. Savannah State could move into third place with a win, surpassing Albany State's 5-7 record.
 
Morehouse—who Savannah State will play on Monday—is in second place currently on a 9-game win streak. They follow No. 1 Benedict who has a 9-1 conference record.
 
The Tigers have been hot of late. Avery Joyner returned at the beginning of the spring semester and immediately made an impact. Joyner leads the scoring effort, averaging 17.0 points a game after only six games played. Marcus Scott and Trey DeLoach are both having a great season as well, each putting up 12.5 points a game.
