Men's, Women's Basketball Release 2021-2022 Schedules

2021-2022 MEN'S SCHEDULE | 2021-2022 WOMEN'S SCHEDULE

SAVANNAH, Ga. – Following a rocky 2020-21 season, Savannah State men's and women's basketball are set to return to a normal season, announcing a 24-game schedule for the men and a 26-game schedule for the women.

The Tigers and Lady Tigers will kick-off the season with a Nov. 10 exhibition doubleheader against the Fort Stewart Army teams. First tip in Tiger Arena is set for 5:30 p.m.

The men's team then kick-off the regular season on Nov. 16 at Saint Leo University in Florida. They follow that with three more non-conference games before the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) schedule starts on Dec. 11 with a road game at Kentucky State.

The women's team open their regular season on Nov. 20 with a home game against Morris College. They follow that with three more non-conference games before opening their SIAC schedule on Nov. 30 against Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee.

Savannah State men's and women's teams will open home SIAC action on Dec. 16 with a doubleheader against LeMoyne-Owens College. First tip is set for 5:30 p.m.

Both teams will play 14 SIAC doubleheaders this season. Eight of those will be played in Tiger Arena. Ten men's and women's home games will be streamed live this season on FloSports. It's the most live streamed home games in Savannah State basketball history.  

During the 2020-21 season, the fall semester schedule for basketball was cancelled due to the pandemic. Savannah State women's basketball was able play a seven-game schedule in the spring. They finished 5-2 overall. Men's basketball was able to get three games on the books.
 
The 2021-2022 season marks the second season of competition for both teams within the SIAC, following the cancellation of last season. The 2019-2020 marked the return to Division II and the SIAC for the basketball programs.
