SAVANNAH, Ga.- The Savannah State men's outdoor track & field team won three relay races and finished in second place in two other relay events at the Tiger Relays which were held at on the SSU campus at TA Wright Stadium.
Bartee won the 100m race (10.84), Ellis-Foster won the 110m hurdles (15.35) and the 400m hurdles (52.64) to round out the first place finishers.
Darius finished second in the 100m with a time of 10.86 as did the 4x400m relay team (Abbkar, Valcin, Ellis-Foster, Darius) and the 4x800m relay squad (Mohamed, Sessoms, Sahlu,
Cameron Pack). The 4x400m team finished with a time of 3:16.77 and the 4x800m team had a time of 8:08.41.
In the field events, Ny'em Bozeman was fourth in the high jump (1.80m) and in the long jump, Tracy Gaston was ninth with a jump of 6.07m and
Malcolm Ford finished 16th with a jump of 5.22m.
Michael Johnson placed eighth in the shot put with a throw of 11.60m and Conner Vasher finished 16th with a toss of 9.84m. In the hammer throw, Vasher was 13th and Johnson was 14th with throws of 21.73m and 17.51m respectively.
Savannah State placed third at the meet with 90 points, followed by Edward Waters (80) and South Carolina-Beaufort (70). Florida A&M won the event with 131 points while Benedict was second with 110.
