SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Savannah State women's tennis team (0-1) continues a three-game homestand with Wofford College (4-0) Saturday at 2 p.m. at Tiger Tennis Courts.
In the season opener, the Lady Tigers nearly won the doubles point. After losing at the No. 2 position, freshmen
Ekaterina Vorobeva and
Shakendra Alston won at the No. 3 position to tie the point, but College of Charleston won at the No. 1 position to win the point. CofC went on to win the match 7-0.
Out of the four wins Wofford has, two of them has been against Division I teams, including a 6-1 win against North Carolina A&T State University.
The Lady Tigers conclude the homestand with Georgia Southern University Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Tiger Tennis Courts.
