Savannah, Ga. -- The Savannah State Baseball team opens the 2018 season with a three-game series against MEAC opponent Delaware State University. Although, the Tigers will face MEAC member, DSU in both teams' season openers, the game is not considered a conference game in the standing as SSU plays in the Southern division, while DSU is in the Northern Division.

The Tigers return 18 letterman from last year's team including five starters and 10 pitchers. SSU looks to improve on last season's 12-39 record.
