SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Savannah State University women's tennis team (0-21, 0-5 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) fell to Bethune-Cookman University (6-9, 1-1 MEAC) 6-1 in season finale for Senior Day at Tiger Tennis Courts. 
 
B-CU won the doubles point after winning at the No. 3 doubles position, and B-CU's doubles duo of Mina Matsuba and Debora Echeverria defeated SSU's doubles team of senior Sandy Lochu and freshman Lili-Morgan Pastore 6-1 at the No. 1 doubles position and B-CU doubles team of Matea Roki and Alejandra Vidal defeated SSU's doubles duo of senior Jennyfer Vivas and senior Bria Burrows 6-0 at the No. 2 doubles position.
 
Lochu won the only singles match for the Lady Tigers with a 6-4, 6-1 win against Matsuba at the No. 1 singles position, while junior Rachida El Kateb fell to Echeverria 3-0, retired at the No. 2 singles position and Pastore fell to Roki 6-0, 6-1 at the No. 3 singles position.
 
Vivas fell to Vidal 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 4 singles position, while Burrows fell to Karen Romero 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 5 singles position.   Phatsimo Ruele won by default at the No. 6 singles position.
