GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Savannah State University women's tennis team (0-14, 0-4 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) fell to North Carolina A&T State University (2-8, 1-2 MEAC) at the Aggies Tennis Complex Friday.

After winning the No. 3 doubles position as SSU's doubles team of Bria Burrows and Tiffany Williams won by default since NCAT did not have enough players to fill the position, the Lady Aggies won the doubles point as NCAT's doubles team of Fabiana Ramirez and Khalia Powell defeated SSU's doubles duo of Sandy Lochu and Elizabeth Geronimo 6-0 at the No. 1 doubles position and NCAT's doubles duo of Nadia Hilton-Adams and Angelica Ochoa defeated SSU's doubles duo Jennyfer Vivas and Rachida Kateb 6-4 at the No. 2 doubles duo.
 
Geronimo, Vivas and Williams all won their matches as Geronimo defeated Powell in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4 at the No. 2 singles position, while Vivas defeated Johnson in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 4 singles position and Williams defeated Staisha Cain by default at the No. 6 singles position.
 
Lochu fell to Ramirez 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 1 singles position, while Kateb fell to Ochoa 7-6 (2), 6-2 at the No. 3 singles position and Burrows fell to Hilton-Adams 6-2, 6-0 at the No. 5 singles position.
 
The Lady Tigers step out of MEAC play with a match against College of Charleston in Charleston, S.C., Tuesday at 6 p.m.
