SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Savannah State University women's tennis team (0-6, 0-1 MEAC) hosts Southeastern Conference opponent University of Missouri (8-1) Friday at 10 a.m. at the Tiger Tennis Courts.
Sophomore
Elizabeth Geronimo has won her last four matches and is 4-2 on the season at the No. 2 singles position.
Freshman
Rachida Kateb recorded her first collegiate win against Alabama A&M and was named the MEAC Rookie of the Week the following Monday.
Geronimo and junior
Sandy Lochu paired up at the No. 1 doubles spot and has posted a 1-3 record.
Last time out, the Lady Tigers fell to South Carolina State University (1-4, 1-0 MEAC) 6-1 in Orangeburg, S.C., on Wednesday. Geronimo was the only Lady Tiger to record a win in the singles with a straight set win 6-2, 6-4 over Oleksandra Filippova at the No. 2 singles position.
The Lady Tigers return on the road to face Bethune-Cookman University (1-4, 0-0 MEAC) Saturday, Feb. 27 at 3 p.m. in Daytona Beach, Fla.
