Following an 8-6 win over Maryland Eastern Shore then a late evening 7-4 loss to #1 Southern Division seed Florida A&M, the Savannah State Tigers have dropped to the loser's bracket at the MEAC tournament and will face the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats in an elimination game today 12:30 p.m.

The Tigers and Wildcats have met six times this season with B-CU edging SSU 4-2 in the series. B-CU swept the Tigers in Daytona Beach, Fla., while SSU took the series at home in Savannah, Ga., 2-1.

Mendez Elder has led the Tigers so far in the tournament going 3-for-9 at the plate with two homeruns, three RBI and three runs scored.
