The Savannah State baseball team opens the 2015 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Tournament on May 13 at 12:30 p.m. in Salisbury, Maryland at Perdue Stadium against Maryland-Eastern Shore.
 
SSU earned the No. 3 Southern Division seed this year with a 12-12 conference record. They finished the regular season with a 20-31 overall record.

UMES finished the season with a 14-10 conference record earning the No. 2 seed out of the Northern Division. The Hawks finished the regular season 16-31 overall.
 
The winner of Game 2 between SSU and Maryland-Eastern Shore will play Florida A&M, the Southern Division No. 1 seed on May 13 at 7:30 p.m.
 
The loser of the SSU-UMES game will play the loser of Game 3 between Norfolk State, the No. 1 North Division seed and the winner of the Bethune-Cookman vs. Delaware State contest on May 14 at 9 a.m. B-CU is the top seed in the Southern Division while DSU is the No. 3 seed in the North.
 
Both losers of Game 3 and Game 1 will face each other in the elimination bracket at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
 
The three-day tournament is formatted with a double-elimination bracket that features the top three seeds from the Southern and Northern MEAC Divisions. The Championship game is scheduled for Saturday, May 16 at 1 p.m.
