Box Score KENNESAW, Ga.- Charles Sikes drove in two runs and
Zachary Brigham had two hits but it would not be enough as Savannah State fell to Kennesaw State 5-2 in a non-conference game played at Stillwell Stadium.

The Owls jumped out to a 4-0 advantage with three runs in the fourth inning and one in the fifth.

Savannah State (17-29) scored both of their runs in the top of the sixth with two outs, thanks to a two-run single by Sikes.

Somto Egbuna struck out but
Hector Benitez walked. After
Harrison Moore struck out,
Mendez Elder drew a walk and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Sikes then singled through the ride side of the infield that allowed Benitez and Elder to score. Brigham followed with a double that put Sikes on third but
Marcus Mitchell, who entered the game as a pinch hitter for
Michael McHugh, grounded out to end the inning.

KSU (25-20) added a run in the bottom of the inning on a RBI single by Chris McGowan.

Both squads had seven hits and made one error.

Brian Miller, one of nine pitchers used by SSU, took the loss. Miller pitched one-third of a inning and surrendered two hits, three runs and one walk.

Alex Liquori had a pair of hits for Kennesaw State while AJ Moore picked up the win and Will Lowman earned the save. Moore struck out seven in his six innings of work while Lowamn pitched one inning and gave up two hits while striking out two.
