Rex Davis held North Carolina Central scoreless in the bottom of the inning as Savannah State defeated the Eagles 3-2 at Durham Athletic Park.

SSU (16-23, 9-9) scored twice in the second inning as Brain Miller hit a two-run triple.

Central tied the game in the fourth when Carlos Ortiz hit a two-run home run.

Charles Sikes reached base after being hit by a pitch. After
Zachary Brigham struck out,
Harrison Moore singled through the left side of the infield to put Sikes in scoring position. Sikes advanced to third after
Michael McHugh's grounded out while Moore advanced to second.
Jonathan Moore's hit went to the pitcher and allowed Sikes to score the game-winner.

Zach McCormack started on the mound for the Tigers and went nine innings before being relieved by Davis. McCormack surrendered five hits and two runs while striking out six.

With two outs, Davis gave up a single to Jacobi Harris but Jared Kehagias flied out to left to end the game.
