Lady Tigers Rout Albany State

ALBANY, Ga. – The Savannah State women's tennis team continued the 2015 season with a 5-0 rout of Albany State on Saturday.

SSU won all four courts in singles action, and cleaned house with two wins in doubles competition.  The Lady Tigers improve to 2-4 on the season.

Playing in the first court, Kamelia Dimitrova downed Vivian Moultrie in straight sets, 6-0 and 6-0. Sandy Lochu followed with a 6-0 and 6-0 wins over Samantha Heard in the second court.

Jennyfer Vivas brought down Keona Livatt in straight sets, 6-0 and 6-0 to win the third court. SSU won the fourth point of singles action with a default win in the fourth court.

Dimitrova and Lochu teamed up to beat Moultrie and Livatt in the first court of doubles action, 8-1. Vivas and Bria Burrows beat Kiara Thompson and Heard in the second court 8-1.

The Lady Tigers continue the regular season on March 9 with a match against George Mason in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
