Box Score SAVANNAH, Ga.- Three Savannah State pitchers combined to hold North Carolina Central to four hits as SSU completed the weekend sweep of the Eagles with a 2-1 victory in a game played at Tiger Field.

Both team scored runs in the second inning but Savannah State scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh when Blake Morgan walked Charles Sikes with the bases loaded. The walk to Sikes allowed Brian Millier to score. Miller entered the game as a pinch runner for Harris Moore, who reached base on an error by the NCCU's Corey Williamson.

Greg Hollman, who pitched six innings for the Tigers, gave up three hits, two walks and one run while striking out three.
Rex Davis, who was awarded the win, struck out two in two hit-less innings while
Zach Chandler earned the save. Chandler pitched the ninth inning and gave up one hit and one walk.

North Carolina Central left the bases loaded in the second but could only score one run. James Dey singled and scored on a single by Williamson.

In the bottom of the inning, the Tigers stranded two base runners.
Zachary Brigham led off with a walk and
David Richards followed with a double. After
Jonathan Moore struck out,
Ryan McCranie drew a walk to load the bases.
Harrison Moore followed with a single that allowed Brigham to tie the game.
Jacob Lightle hit into a double play to end the inning.

Devin Sweet struck out five battles for NCCU in six innings of work.

The loss drops the Eagles to 6-11 overall and 3-5 in the MEAC.

The Tigers left nine runners on base while NCCU left six runners on base.
