EUGENE, Ore.- Playing their first road game of the season, Savannah State fell behind early and never recovered in a 77-59 loss to No. 25 Oregon
. The crowd of 6,465 in Knight Arena saw the Ducks score the first four points of the contest. Their advantage grew to 21-8 with10:53 remaining in the first period.

Troyce Manassa cut the Tigers deficit to nine but a 15-5 spurt by Oregon put the home team ahead 36-17 with 4:12 on the clock.

The Ducks led 42-24 at the half.

Savannah State started the second period with a 11-3 run to slice their deficit to 45-35.

The Tigers were down 53-43 with 11:52 left in the game.

Oregon put the game away by outscoring SSU with a 19-7 run that gave them a 22-point cushion with 4:08 remaining.

Manassa had 15 points and a game-high nine rebounds to lead Savannah State (3-1).

The Tigers shot 51.7 percent from the field in the second half.
