The Savannah State Tigers will take on North Carolina Central in its final regular season game. The game is a make-up as the teams were unable to complete their weekend series back in April. The Tigers, who are locked in at the 4th place position in the MEAC South, will enter the conference tournament as the defending MEAC champs. N.C. Central has an opportunity to claim a share of 1st place in the South division by making up missed games with SSU and Florida A&M. SSU has a 3-2 lead in the season series over N.C. Central.

SSU first baseman Tre Sikes was named MEAC Player of the Week for the week ending 4/27/2014. Sikes is coming off a 4-for-11 weekend against Bethune-Cookman. He currently leads the team in batting (.379), hits (69), doubles (15), homeruns (9) and RBI (46). SSU has won its last four of its last six conference games.

North Carolina Central returns to Savannah with a 18-29-1 record and has dropped five of its last eight conference games. The Eagles are led by Carter Williamson who is batting .354 with 58 hits, 10 doubles, four homeruns and 39 RBI.
