Box Score SAVANNAH, Ga.- Charles Sikes and
Parker Nix each scored twice as Savannah State ended their regular season with a 6-4 victory over North Carolina Central at Tiger Field.

The Tigers (20-29, 11-13) broke up a scoreless game in the bottom of the third with three runs.
Â
Todd Hagen was hit by a pitch and Sikes drew a walk. Hagen later scored on a single by Nix.
Aaron Hoffer followed Nix with a walk to load the bases.
Hector Benitez hit a single that scored Sikes and Nix scored on a groundout by
Zachary Brigham.

SSU increased their lead to 6-0 in the fifth.

Sikes led off with a walk and Nix followed with a double to put runners in scoring position. Hoffer grounded out but Sikes was able to score while Nix stole third and scored on a error by the catcher. After Benitez struck out, Brigham doubled and was able to score after a triple by
Michael McHugh.

NCCU left the bases loaded in the sixth but was able to avoid a shutout by scoring twice to make the score 6-2.

The Eagles added two more runs in the eighth for the final runs of the contest.

Savannah State had seven hits but made three errors and left 11 runners on base. NCCU collected six hits, made four errors and stranded eight runners.

Nix had two hits for SSU.
Ryan Doyle pitched four innings and gave up two hits and two walks while striking out two.
Eric Ricks earned the save.
Ethan Glass stuck out three batters in his two innings on the mound and Ryan McCrannie struck out three in 1.2 innings.

Carter Williamson led the Eagles (18-30-1, 12-11)Â at the plate. Williamson had two hits, drove in a run and scored once. Eric Kimber took the loss, giving up four walks, two hits and three runs in three innings.
