Box Score ATLANTA, Ga.- Savannah State suffered a 12-1 loss to Georgia Tech in a game played at Russ Chandler Stadium.
The non-conference loss drops the Tigers record to 12-22.
Daniel Spingola hit a two run triple as Tech scored three times in the second inning.
The crowd of 1,020 saw Savannah State scored their only run in the top of the fourth.
Hector Benitez led of with a single and later scored on a wild pitch to cut their deficit to 3-1.
The Yellow Jackets (21-13) scored three times in the bottom of the inning as Connor Justus led off with a solo home run. Tech added five runs off four hits in the sixth inning thanks to a three run double by Justus.
Leading 11-1, Tech scored their final run in the seventh as A. J. Murry hit a RBI single.
SSU, who extended their losing streak to four games, had their chances to score more runs but left seven runners on base. The Yellow Jackets stranded 10 runners.
Lee Moore had two of the Tigers five hits.
Ryan McCranie pitched one inning for SSU, giving up four hits and three runs. The Tigers used six pitchers.
Justus went 3 for 5 and drove in four runs while scoring twice for the Jackets. Zac Ryan was declared the winner. Ryan went five innings and struck out seven batters.
