Box Score SAVANNAH, Ga.- After suffering a 8-7 loss to North Florida on March 19, Savannah State got revenge in their rematch at Tiger Field as pitchers
Zach McCormack and
Eric Ricks each struck out three batters in a 2-1 victory that took 10 innings.

McCormack pitched 7.2 innings and gave up eight hits and one run while Ricks, who was awarded with the win, pitched 2.1 innings in relief gave up only one hit. McCormack kept the Ospreys hitless until the fourth inning.

The Tigers (9-16) scored in the second inning with two outs.
Parker Nix singled to right field and stole second. Nix scored after
Michael McHugh singled to left field.

UNF left two runners on base in the eighth inning but could only score one run to tie the game.

The Ospreys also left two runners on base in the fourth and seventh innings.

In the bottom of the 10
th, Nix struck out looking but McHugh followed with a single.
Ian Farris was thrown out on a bunt but it allowed McHugh to advance to second. Back to back walks to
Todd Hagen and
Hector Benitez loaded the bases for
Mendez Elder who reached on an error by the shortstop which allowed McHugh to score the game winning run.

Both teams had nine hits and made one error. UNF left eight runners on base while the Tigers stranded five.

McHugh had three hits for Savannah State while Nix had two.

Corbin Olmstead, Drew Weeks and Garrick Ferguson all had two hits apiece for UNF. Nick Baker was tagged with the loss. Baker pitched three innings in relief and gave up three walks, one hit and one run.
