Box Score MACON, Ga.- Sasha LaGarde's grand slam in the bottom of the sixth allowed Mercer to stay undefeated with a 5-4 victory over Savannah State in a game played at Claude Smith Field.
The Tigers (3-5) held a 4-1 lead after five innings.
In the sixth, Mercer scored four runs with two outs on just two hits.
Savannah State led 1-0 after scoring a run in the top of the second inning.

For the game, SSU had 10 hits while six Tiger pitcher held the Bears (9-0) to six hits.
The Tigers left seven men on base while Mercer left six runners stranded.
Moore and
Parker Nix each had a single and a double for the Tigers. Moore also drove in two runs.
Ryan McCranie took the loss as he pitched 1.1 innings and gave up one hit and two runs while striking out two. Starter

Stephen Glaze picked up the victory for Mercer as he pitched 2.2 innings and struck out three. Glaze gave up two hits and allowed no runs.
