Women’s Tennis Blanks Albany State

ALBANY, Ga. – The Lady Tigers garnered their second win this season with a 5-0 rout of Albany State on Tuesday in Albany, Georgia.

In the first courts, Andrea Pavlovic defeated Keona Livatt in straight sets, 6-0 and 6-0. Angela Bonilla beat Mercedes Stokes in straight sets (6-0, 6-0), playing in the second court.

In the third position, Nadin Olsson downed Nicolette Williams (6-0, 6-0), and Jennyfer Vivas closed out singles action with a 6-0, 6-0, win over Kiera Thompson.

In doubles action, Pavlovic teamed up with Olsson to beat Livatt and Williams in the first court, 8-0. In the second court, Bonilla and Vivas beat Thompson and Stokes 8-0.

SSU improves to 2-4 overall this season. They return to home court on February 23 to take on Benedict College. First serve is set for 1 p.m. on the new Tiger Tennis Courts.
